Practitioners’ Profile (Sheila Barratt-Smith)

Sheila Barratt-Smith D.Hyp. MBSCH studied psychology at university as a mature student and then trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. She is a full and experienced member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

In 2002, Sheila was one of the original hypnotherapists to train on the first of only two courses actually run in the UK by the founder of HypnoBirthing™ Marie Mongan.  Hypnobirthing is now practised worldwide.

Sheila is a fully qualified and experienced HypnoBirthing™ Practitioner and Member of the HypnoBirthing™ Institute.

Sheila also works with the Mindfields College Human Givens approach and is a fully qualified Infertility Practitioner.

Sheila also lectures to student midwives on HypnoBirthing™ and the benefits of relaxation during birth.

Sheila is married - the mother of three daughters and the young grandmother of two grandsons, the youngest of whom, Leo, was born at home using HypnoBirthing™. Sheila lives in Worcestershire.
